The `api_url` field above is constructed using your Splunk instance's domain. For example, if you have a Splunk Enterprise instance hosted at `https://example.com:8000`, then your `api_url` field above is `https://example.com` without entering the port used by your instance.

To get your HEC Port, sign in to your Splunk Cloud or Enterprise instance and go to "Settings" > "Data" >"Data Inputs". From the list that appears, go to "HTTP Event Collector" and click "Global Settings". Enter the value in "HTTP Port Number" in the `HEC Port` value above.

To get your HEC Token, sign in to your Splunk Cloud or Enterprise instance and go to "Settings" > "Data" >"Data Inputs". From the list that appears, go to "HTTP Event Collector" and click "New Token".
